Privacy and Confidentiality Policy
All Abilities Alliance is committed to safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of personal and/or sensitive information collected in relation to all of our participants.
What does this mean?

1. Compliance: All Abilities Alliance will ensure that all aspects of our operations comply with the Australian Privacy Principles an the NDIS Practice Standards.

2. Collection: All Abilities Alliance will only collect the necessary personal and sensitive information required to provide services, or where we are required by regulation.

3. Use of Information: All Abilities Alliance will only use personal and sensitive information for the purposes in which it was given to us, or for the purposes that are directly related to one of our functions or operations.

4. Third Party: All Abilities Alliance does not give identifying information to other agencies, organisations or anyone else unless the participant or guardian/carer by law has consented, it is required by law, will prevent harm or lesson a serious or immediate threat to somebody’s health or life, or related to a criminal issue.

5. Data Security: All Abilities Alliance will ensure all personal data is securely stored, protected, and not disclosed without consent unless required by law.

6. Protection: All Abilities Alliance takes all reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure and against other misuse.

7. Right to Access: Participants have the right to access their personal information at any time.
​
8. Disposal of Personal Information: All Abilities Alliance will destroy all personal information held in a secure manner when no longer required.
